How to explore careers with UNICEF Zambia

Use the organisation’s own vacancy links and distinguish internships, staff jobs and consultancies.

UNICEF Zambia’s people and culture page describes opportunities in fields including health, education, operations, finance and logistics. It lists several types of work, from internships to staff roles and consultancies. A general information page is not proof that any particular position is still open: confirm the current notice on UNICEF’s own recruitment site.

Choose the right type of opportunity

An internship, a national officer role and a short consultancy have different requirements and selection processes. Read the duty station, contract type, eligibility, years of experience and deadline for each post. Do not assume that a consultancy is a beginner role just because it appears beside an internship in a search result.

Prepare a precise application

Use your own words to explain relevant work, study or volunteer experience. Match qualifications and examples to the role’s required skills without inventing experience. Keep a copy of your submission and note the vacancy reference. If asked for documents, use the verified application system and share only what is requested.

Confirm before paying or travelling

Check that the link leads to the actual employer’s recruitment service. UNICEF’s information page can include other procurement notices as well as jobs, so read the destination carefully. Do not pay a person who promises an interview or asks for a password. When uncertain, contact UNICEF Zambia using its official website.
