Nothing is recorded. Say your answers out loud, or practise with a friend.

We built the question sets around the jobs we list. First Quantum Minerals had 41 of the 105 adverts for jobs in Zambia in our catalogue on 1 November 2026, and Kalumbila, Solwezi and Kansanshi together had 44. So there are questions for mine and site work, along with sales, NGO and health projects, finance and first jobs.

How should I answer tell me about yourself?

Use about a minute. Say what you do or studied, one thing you've done that fits this job, and why you want this job now. For example: I finished a diploma in accounts at Kabwe last year, I did my attachment in a hardware store's accounts office where I ran the monthly stock reconciliation, and I'd like to build on that in your finance team.

What about what salary do you expect?

Know your number before you go in. Work back from the take-home you need, using our salary tool, and say whether your figure is gross. Don't invent a market rate. Most adverts don't state pay: of the 270 jobs in our catalogue on 1 November 2026, none had pay in the salary field.

How do I practise on my own?

Answer out loud, not in your head. Time yourself, and record one answer on your phone. Then listen for the things in the list that you left out. Three good practice rounds beat learning a script by heart, because panels ask follow-up questions.

Questions people ask

What should I bring to an interview in Zambia?

Bring what the invitation asks for. That's often your NRC and the originals of your certificates, plus printed copies of your CV. If it doesn't say, ask when you confirm.

What should I ask them at the end?

Ask how much of the pay is basic and how much is allowances, whether the contract is long-term with gratuity, and what they'd expect from you in the first three months.

Should I pay someone for interview tips or to get on a shortlist?

No. Nobody can sell you a place on a shortlist, and applying is free. If someone offers one, use our scam check.
